New England Sport Committee. The NESC has been around since the fifty's. The NESC is the most popular and the most competitive motocross racing in the Northeast. If you want to make an impact at the Nationals, you better be able to win in the Expert class at an NESC event. John Dowd, Tony Larousso, Doug Henry, Keith Johnson, Jo Jo Keller, Mike Guerra, Jim Meenan, Scott Carter, Mike Treadwell, Pat Barton these are all NESC fast guys. The NESC holds events at Southwick Ma., Middleboro Ma., Central Village CT, and Bull Run at Green Maine. AMA membership is required, membership to NESC is $75.00 by mail or $100.00 at the track. Admission fee is 10.00 per adult. Registration 15.00-$20.00 per class. Numbers are assigned by the NESC and must be 6" only. Snell/DOT approved helmet required. Long sleeve shirt with rider number on back, MX boots and pants required. Scheduled events every weekend from April through October. The NESC rule book is about 22 pages in length. This group is very professional, with paid track personnel, strict enforcement of rules, cash pay-out for the pro class and a strong manufacturer backed contingency pay out for novice through expert level racers.
